Welcome to Notepay. By using this application, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Nature of the Service
Notepay is strictly a record-keeping and tracking tool designed to help communities, groups, and individuals track expenses, collections, and donations.
Notepay is not a bank, financial institution, payment gateway, or money transmitter. No real monetary transactions are processed, held, or transferred through the Notepay application.
2. User Responsibilities & Accuracy
- Users and Organizers are solely responsible for the accuracy of any data, numbers, or records entered into the application.
- Notepay does not verify, audit, or guarantee the authenticity of the financial records maintained by users or event organizers.
- Any disputes regarding discrepancies in records, missing funds, or offline financial disagreements must be resolved directly between the involved parties.
3. Public Collection Links & Auto-Donations
- External Payments: Notepay does not process, handle, store, or transmit any real money. All financial transfers are made directly between the donor and the organizer via external UPI applications. Notepay only facilitates generating standard UPI URLs/QR codes and verifying proof-of-payment receipts.
- UPI Configuration accuracy: Event Organizers are solely responsible for entering a valid and correct UPI ID and UPI Registered Name. Notepay is not responsible for transfer errors, lost funds, or payments sent to incorrect accounts.
- Automatic Verification & AI Processing: When a donor uploads a payment receipt, Notepay uses automated processing (including AI models) to verify receipt details against the event's configuration. Organizers retain the ultimate authority to accept, modify, or delete entries from their ledger.
4. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall Notepay, its developers, or affiliates be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:
- The loss, corruption, or inaccuracy of data within the app due to software errors or user mistakes.
- Real-world financial losses or disputes arising among users, organizers, or third parties.
- Service outages, software bugs, or unauthorized access to your account.
5. AI Assistant Disclaimer
Notepay includes an artificial intelligence (`@ai`) assistant designed to help organize and summarize event data. You acknowledge and agree that:
- The AI is not a certified accountant, financial advisor, or legal expert. Any advice or suggestions generated by the AI should not be construed as professional financial advice.
- While the AI strives to provide accurate summaries of your ledger, errors or hallucinations may occasionally occur. You are solely responsible for independently verifying all mathematical totals and financial records.
- Notepay is not liable for any decisions, actions, or financial disputes resulting from your reliance on the AI assistant's outputs.
6. Account Guidelines & Termination
You agree not to use Notepay for fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activities. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account or event at our sole discretion if we detect abuse, spam, or a violation of these terms.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of Notepay after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
