1. Information We Collect
Authentication Data: Your phone number is used exclusively for OTP login and identity verification.
Profile Data: Your full name identifies you clearly within events you create or join.
Event & Ledger Data: Collections, contributions, and expenses you log are stored securely in encrypted cloud databases.
UPI Configuration: Organizers provide their UPI ID and UPI Registered Name to enable automated payment receipt verification.
Receipt Images: When contributors upload payment screenshots via public collection links, we temporarily process the images to verify transactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
To authenticate your identity, protect your session, and secure your account.
To display your name and entries to authorized members of events you explicitly join.
To synchronize your event ledger data across your active devices in real time.
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Information is shared only as follows:
Within Authorized Events: Your profile name and ledger entries are visible to organizers and fellow members of events you join.
Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Artificial Intelligence & Data Processing
Notepay uses enterprise AI models (e.g. Google Gemini) to power @ai chat responses and automated receipt verification. By using these features, you agree:
Receipt Verification: Uploaded payment screenshots are processed to verify sender, receiver name, amount, and transaction date against event configurations.
Data Minimization: Only the relevant ledger context or specific receipt image is securely sent to the AI processor.
No Public Model Training: Our AI partners are strictly forbidden from using your personal data or receipts to train public models.
5. Data Security & Your Rights
Security: We employ modern technical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access or alteration.
Your Rights: You can request account deletion or data export anytime via the Help & Support section on your Profile page.
